Financial Consultant

The financial consultant position requires a BS in agricultural economics or related field. Significant, successful experience performing farm financial and management analyses, working with lenders and directly with agricultural producers is required. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to learn data entry into the FarmNet database is also required. Strong communication skills are critical for success in this position. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel are required.

Primary job duty is traveling to farms in New York State and working with people who have requested assistance from NY FarmNet. The position is 20 +/- hours per week with the ability to manage caseload throughout the year.

Family/Personal Consultant

The family consultant position requires an MSW, LCSW, masters in counseling, or equivalent degree/certification. Significant, successful experience working with clients on communications skills, interpersonal relationships, goal setting, and/or addiction, family, and mental health counseling. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to learn data entry into the FarmNet database are also required. Strong communication skills are critical for success in this position. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel are required.
