Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention
A program developed by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Talk Saves Lives provides participants with a clear understanding of this leading cause of death, including the most up-to-date research on suicide prevention, and what people can do in their communities to save lives. Participants will learn common risk factors and warning signs associated with suicide, and how to keep themselves and others safe.

Stress Management
Identifying Signs of Stress is a program developed by NY FarmNet staff. This presentation can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your group. It talks about what stress is, what stress looks like, and how you can manage it. Participants will learn risk factors, common language, how to develop coping skills and build resiliency in uncertain times.

Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.
Mental Health First Aid teaches the skills needed to recognize and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges, as well as how to provide someone with initial support until they are connected with appropriate professional help.
This evidence-based, early-intervention course uses community-specific scenarios, activities and videos to help you be prepared to provide support to those in need in your community. Participants learn a 5-step Action Plan (ALGEE), which includes assessing risk, respectfully listening to and supporting the individual in need, and identifying appropriate professional help and other support.
Length of training: 7-8 hours
